Maxwell Scott solely crafts from vegetable-tanned Italian leather from one of the most prestigious tanneries in the world. Our renowned tannery, located in the heart of Tuscany, has been mastering this ancient method for several generations. Members of the highly esteemed Italian Consortium of Leather Tanners, they abide by strict standards and rigorous quality checks to ensure the impeccable quality of Maxwell Scott's signature leather. All Products come with a 25 year guarantee. Our leather requires relatively little care. There is no need for frequent cleaning. Scratches or marks from daily wear can be rubbed or polished out with ease. You don’t need any special cleaners to keep your leather looking good – just dip a clean cloth in a simple soap and water solution and gently clean the surface of your product. We wholeheartedly recommend Skidmore’s leather cream. Although there are many other excellent leather care products on the market, this is by far our favourite. Please don’t use chemical cleaners when caring for your item. Chemical conditioners can damage the surface of the leather, doing more harm than good. Try to avoid getting your product wet if possible, but if you get caught in the rain, don’t panic! Carefully blot away any drops of water immediately and let the product dry naturally, keeping it away from any direct source of heat.
